At Cardio Kickboxing Center, we want to change the way you look at health and fitness. Our techniques go beyond the body and open the mind to experience how your body can truly function. We’re inspired by nature, and it’s rooted in what we do as a gym and as trainers. We punch, kick, run, jump, crawl and build usable skills that yield results and inspire lasting confidence.

Individual differences in both goals and ability is at the core of our approach to fitness. Our classes are designed to deliver the most effective work-out for each person regardless of whether you are experienced, or a beginner.  

  •    REAL LIFE SELF DEFENSE TECHNIQUES

At Cardio Kickboxing Center you will learn Real Life Self Defense Techniques in a Cardio, Strength & Conditioning setting taught to you by an actual Self Defense / Krav Maga Instructor. This is not your average cardio kickboxing workout! We incorporate striking, kicking, elbows, hammer fists as well as multiple plyometric conditioning exercises that will provide you with an extremely challenging workout focusing on proper form.

  •   NATURAL TRAINING

We train naturally with no machines, no shoes and no egos. Our training philosophy will help you increase your strength, speed, and stamina and we will teach you to move instinctively and be self-reliant. The goal of Natural Skill Training is to develop highly skilled and strong individuals. 

Monkey Bar Gym Classses

  • B.A.S.E (Building Alignment & Stability through Extension)

We practice B.A.S.E. Stretching for restoration and to get stronger, balanced, and aligned. You will learn conscious breathing, and improve your posture. The goal of Restoration is to rid the body of injuries and relieve stress & pain.

  • NUTRITION

We promote a primarily Clean and Balanced  Diet to have a healthy body and reduce impact on the planet. Embracing Clean and Balanced Nutrition will get you lean and reduce inflammation. You will learn the skills and knowledge needed to eat right for you. The goal of Clean and Balanced Nutrition is to feel light and energized.

CKC Trainers

CKC Trainers teach All Out Bag Work  and Punch and Plyo group fitness classes and are available for private personal training sessions (by appointment)

Christopher Ryan – Owner/ Head Trainer Christopher is a lifelong athlete and health enthusiast who has a background in wrestling and MMA. He began his self-defense training in 2010 under the expert guidance of the Connecticut Krav Maga instructors. In 2017 he left his long career as a Director of Food and Nutrition to pursue his dream of opening his own gym and self defense school in the town in which he lives…Woodbury, CT.

Christopher’s style of fitness blends well with self defense as it focuses on natural body movement as well as overall flexibility and mobility. Christopher is a Certified Personal Trainer, and  a Krav Maga Instructor under Britt Soden of Apex Krav Maga. He is also a practitioner of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Catch Wrestling, No Ka Oi & Rapid Assault Tactics.
